OUR
STORY
How It
Started:
Carrie and I met at
Oklahoma State University in 1986 at a Campus Crusade for Christ annual
fall ministry kickoff party, but it wasn't love at first sight. It
took Eric two years to get her attention and then they quickly realized
that God not only had a relationship in store for them but ministry
together...(more)
What We Do:
After joining the staff of
Campus Crusade in 1988 and working seven years with college students,
God called us to Little Rock to begin our current journey with FamilyLife in 1995. Eric took a whirlwind tour of the ministry, working
in several departments before landing in his current role... (more)
Why We Do It:
The family has been at
the center of God's plans since the beginning. It all started with
a family in Genesis 3 and will end with a marriage in Revelation when
Christ takes His bride. Carrie and I have personally been called
to join God in helping redeem individuals and strengthen marriages and
families....(more)
Our Family:
The Platner home is a
place full of activity, noise, and fun. God has created something
wonderful and blessed us with six awesome kids that have come to us
through two avenues: birth and adoption. It all started in 1992
with Lacey...(more)

Doing
Ministry Together
In our culture today, marriages and families are under attack like never
before. Traditional family is being redefined and the impact of
divorce is devastating at so many levels. But there is hope and
we're here to help. FamilyLife exists to develop godly marriages
by providing relevant and Biblical tools and truth, but we can't do it
alone. Our ministry is possible because we stand with a team of
ministry partners who share our desire to help every home become a godly
one.

Symphony In The Dark
In this new book from Barbara and Rebecca Rainey, they tell
an unforgettable, inspiration story of how a lovingly anticipated baby
was born and given just seven days to live. The stirring and
emotional story of Molly Ann Mutz reminds us that even the tiniest, most
fragile life matters. This is a story of how the pain of such a
loss can turn into something beautiful, hopeful, and redemptive.
